There was a big commotion in the Doon Express at Charbagh railway station in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, on Thursday night. Here, in the train going from Howrah to Haridwar, some women sitting in the sleeper coach with a general ticket, misbehaved with the TTE. The women attacked the TTE who came to vacate the seat, abused him and tore his shirt.
According to TTE Diwakar Mishra, he was checking tickets in sleeper bogie S-3 of the train. Meanwhile, a passenger complained on social media platform X that some people were sitting around the seats without tickets. On receiving the information, TTE reached the spot and asked to vacate the seat. As soon as he said this the women got angry. He first abused, then tore the TTE’s shirt. According to TTE, the women beat him and also threw tea on his face. His gold chain also broke in the fight.
According to the railway administration, the women were traveling in sleeper coach with general ticket, which is against the rules. After the dispute, the women were deboarded from the train at Barabanki station, but they were again forcibly boarded in the same bogie. Later, on reaching Charbagh railway station, he was brought down.
Senior DCM of Northern Railway, Kuldeep Tiwari said that TTE Diwakar Mishra was assaulted by women passengers in Doon Express. The women were traveling in the train unauthorized. A complaint has been filed against him in Charbagh GRP, FIR will be registered soon.
