In Moradabad, a case of virginity certificate and threats has come to light with a 13-year-old student in a madrasa. Police took action on the father’s complaint and arrested one accused. The whole matter has created a stir in the district. Serious allegations have been made against the management of Jamia Ehsanul Banat Girls Madrasa located in Lodipur Palupura of Pakbada police station area of Moradabad.
In fact, a Chandigarh resident accused the madrasa of making immoral demands while enrolling his 13-year-old daughter in the next class. He says that the condition of virginity (medical) test was imposed to defame and hinder the daughter’s studies.
The victim’s father alleged that the Madrasa administration made false and derogatory allegations to defame his minor daughter, which had a deep impact on his life. He said that a vicious plan was hatched to stop his daughter’s education and defame her. Moreover, she was given the unethical condition of undergoing a virginity (medical) test before being admitted to the next class.
The father said that when he protested, the madrasa management refused to issue the girl’s transfer certificate (TC) and threatened to ruin her daughter’s future if she complained. It is alleged that TC was not given even after taking Rs 500. Crying, he said that his daughter had not caused any harm to anyone, but the false allegations had pushed her life into darkness.
Moradabad Based on the father’s complaint, the police have registered a case against Admission Cell Incharge Shahjahan, Principal Rahnuma and other staff. During investigation, the allegations were found to be true and Shahjahan was arrested, while the search for other accused is on. Madrasa teacher Mohammad Salman termed the allegations as baseless and said that till date no such certificate has been asked from any student.
On this matter, Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi, President of All India Muslim Jamaat, said that the education in madrassas is for the development and progress of the new breed. Not only madrasas, but all the education provided in schools and colleges is for the progress of the new breed. It is meant to make humans human. Especially the education in Madrasa is based on Quran and Hadith.
What did Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi say about this whole matter?
Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi said that the Madrasa of Moradabad which is being discussed about the certificate being sought from a student, shows the mental bankruptcy of the teachers there. This shows the extreme and poor thinking of the person responsible for that madrassa. Be it a girl or a boy, no one can be kept away from education. Similarly, Madrassas are victims of many missiles. There is nothing more regrettable than what happened here. At present the police is seriously investigating this matter.
