The latest film of the horror universe ‘Thama’ is continuously gathering crowds in theatres. This film starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna started making waves from day one. The story of Betal, the new ghostly character of the horror universe, is impressing the audience. Ayushmann and Rashmika’s love story is also being liked a lot. Trade reports are saying that ‘Thama’ has collected around Rs 14 crore at the box office on Thursday. That means its collection has decreased by only 25% as compared to Wednesday. The film also got the benefit of Bhai-Dooj holiday in some places and it got a solid audience. Now in three days it has crossed the figure of 50 crore net collection at the box office and the total collection has crossed Rs 58 crore.
‘Thama’ can become Ayushmann’s biggest film
Till now ‘Thama’ has been benefiting from holidays and festival mood of the people at some places. But its real test will be on Friday, which is a normal working day. Still, it is certain that Friday’s collection will be in double digits. There will be a big jump in its earnings on Saturday-Sunday.
Due to release on Tuesday, the first weekend collection of ‘Thamaa’ will include the earnings of 6 days. It can be estimated that it can collect between Rs 95 crore to Rs 100 crore at the box office by Sunday.
The biggest film in Ayushmann’s career so far is ‘Dream Girl’ released in 2019. Its lifetime net collection was Rs 142 crore. But now the estimates of ‘Thama’ are saying that after about two weeks of its release it can cross the collection of ‘Dream Girl’. This means that this can easily become the most profitable film of Ayushmann’s career.
