Surprise of ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’… No effect of clash with ‘Thamma’, got strong opening – Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat Box Office Collection Thamma Day 1 NTCPSM

Bollywood’s Diwali released films reached theaters on Tuesday and now they are having a blast at the box office. On one hand, Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s film ‘Thama’ was released. It clashed with Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s film ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’.

Initially ‘Deewaniyat’ was considered the lesser of the two films. But perhaps these guessers forgot one of the surest theories of Bollywood – ‘If the song is a hit, the picture is a hit’. The opening of ‘Deewaniyat’ on the very first day shows that this formula is still working perfectly.

‘Deewaniyat’ ready for explosive opening
From the teaser and trailer, ‘Deewaniyat’ did not appear to be a very atmospheric film. But then came its songs… and these songs got solid popularity among the public. As the songs created an atmosphere, the public also started taking interest in the angry-lover love story of the film.

This is an ‘A’ rated film. Except on a few occasions, the earnings of films with this rating are slightly less than those of films with ‘U/A’ rating. On top of that, there is also a big film like ‘Thamaa’ in front of it. in madness Harshvardhan Rane And Sonam Bajwa are the lead actors. The mettle of both of them has not been proved yet at the box office. Therefore, it was believed in the trade that if it brings anything above Rs 3 crore in the opening, it would be considered a strong start. If the figure of Rs 5 crore is crossed then it will be a big deal.

But after the advance booking started, the craze for the film started appearing among the public. Now SACNILC report is saying that till 8 pm on Tuesday, the opening collection of ‘Deewaniyat’ has reached around Rs 8 crore. It can be estimated that by the end of the night shows this figure may reach very close to 10 crores.

The opening of ‘Deewaniyat’ will be bigger than Harshvardhan Rane’s films.
Harshvardhan, who made his Hindi debut with ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ (2016), has not had a very special career in the last 10 years. Excluding his OTT films that came during the lockdown period, about 4 of his films were released in theatres. After ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’, he was seen in JP Dutta’s war drama ‘Paltan’ which was a huge flop. And the same situation happened with his film ‘Savi’ released last year.

Apart from these three, his ‘Tara vs Bilal’ was also released in theaters last year. But the condition of this film was such that the trade did not even consider the need to count its collection. The net lifetime collection of any of these films of Harshvardhan could not reach Rs 10 crore. But now his film ‘Deewaniyat’ is moving towards crossing this figure on the very first day.

However, ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ became a cult after its first release. When this film was re-released in theaters this year, it made a gross collection of more than Rs 50 crore. This film of Harshvardhan also has the record of highest earning on re-release. Perhaps the public still remembers Harshvardhan’s face from this film and this is what is giving benefit to his new film.
