After 5 days, a case has finally been registered against 11 policemen including SDOP Pooja Pandey and TI Arpit Bhairam in the Hawala robbery case in Seoni, Madhya Pradesh. A case has been registered against the policemen in Lakhanwada police station under robbery, kidnapping and criminal conspiracy.

Actually, CSP Pooja Pandey had checked on NH-44 in Seoni on the night of 8th and 9th October. Meanwhile, Hawala amount of Rs 2.96 crore was recovered in a vehicle going from Nagpur to Jabalpur.

It is alleged that Pooja Pandey took the entire amount from the accused and sent them away without taking legal action. The next day, the hawala traders reached Seoni Kotwali police station and complained about the entire matter. There was a stir when the news of this came out.

Taking action, IG Pramod Verma suspended 11 policemen including CSP Pooja Pandey, TI Arpit Bhairam of Bandol police station and handed over the investigation of the case to Jabalpur ASP Ayush Gupta.

Meanwhile, on October 11, a case was registered against hawala traders Sohan Parmar, Irfan Pathan and Sheikh Mukhtar in Lakhanwada police station under sections 112 (2), 3 (5) of organized crime.

On October 13, IG Pramod Verma reached Seoni and handed over the investigation of the entire case to Jabalpur ASP Crime Jitendra Singh, citing the case registered against hawala traders and the errors in its investigation. IG Pramod Verma also issued a show cause notice to senior police officers in this case.

After this, discussions started taking place in the police department to protect the accused policemen and on Tuesday, a case was registered against 11 policemen including the CSP.
