Rohtak city of Haryana was shaken by a sensational incident. The incident of double murder in Fatehpuri Colony spread panic here. The matter is of Old Sabzi Mandi police station area. Here on Thursday night at around 8 pm, two neighbors clashed with each other. Within no time, firing started and the attack was carried out with sharp weapons. Two people from both sides died in this bloody conflict.
According to the police, the deceased have been identified as 28-year-old Sumit and 32-year-old Manish. Both lived in the same colony. There was a rift between Sumit and Manish over some issue for about six years. Due to this, Sumit’s family had gone to Jhajjar for some time, but recently they started living back in Fatehpuri Colony after getting a new house built. Coincidentally, Manish also settled in the same area again, due to which the tension between the two increased again.
Sumit was sitting outside the house with some of his friends. Just then Manish passed by there and an argument broke out between the two over some old issue. Within no time the fight escalated and family members from both sides also reached the spot. During this time, Manish, who is a driver by profession, had a licensed revolver. In anger he shot Sumit in the chest. Sumit fell there after being shot and died on the spot.
The atmosphere further flared up after the firing. Sumit’s family and people of the locality caught Manish and in anger attacked him with a sharp weapon. The blows were so severe that Manish died on the spot. As soon as information about the incident was received, top police officers and FSL team reached the spot. PGI took possession of both the bodies for postmortem. Rohtak sent. Evidence is being collected from the spot and forensic examination of weapons is being done.
Police said that information about murder of two people was received in Fatehpuri Colony. Police immediately reached the spot and investigation has been started. In the initial investigation it seems to be a case of mutual enmity. The families of both the deceased are being interrogated. Sumit’s mother Suman and father Virendra said that Manish was after their son for a long time. Today Manish came and started abusing without any reason. When we tried to intervene, he shot Sumit. Our son fell there as soon as the bullet hit him. After this the fight between the two sides escalated and Manish also died.
Virendra said that we were having a rivalry with Manish for six years. For this reason, we had gone to Jhajjar a few years ago, but now when a new house was built in Fatehpuri Colony, he also came back and started living there. There is an atmosphere of tension in the area after the incident. Police have increased security around the houses of both the parties and are keeping an eye on the situation. Officials say that the matter is being thoroughly investigated and other members of both the parties will be interrogated. Mobile phones and CCTV footage of both have also been seized.
