Red sand boa snake has been found in a farmer’s enclosure in village Banskhedi of Agar Malwa, Madhya Pradesh. This snake is considered to be a very rare species. Seeing the snake, the farmer immediately informed the forest department. As soon as the information was received, the department team reached the spot and rescued the snake and released it in the forest. The value of this species of snake is said to be in crores.
Forest department watchman Bherusingh was the first to take stock of the situation. After this, forest guards Govind Sharma and Rakesh Kumbhkar caught the snake and rescued it carefully. The snake was brought to the Forest Department office, where on the instructions of Ranger Lakshmi Narayan Chaudhary, veterinarian Dr. Arvind Mahajan conducted its medical examination. During testing, the snake was found completely healthy.

This snake was said to be of the Red Sand Boa species, which is not poisonous. Due to its characteristics, it is smuggled in the international market. According to wildlife experts, this snake is found only in a few areas of India and its international price is said to be up to crores of rupees.
After the rescue, the Forest Department team released it safely in its natural habitat, the forest. The Forest Department has appealed to the villagers that if they see any rare wildlife or snake, then inform the department immediately. The department clarified that do not try to catch or molest any snake or other wildlife. In such incidents, animals can be rescued safely only with the help of an expert and trained team. Pictures and video of the rescue of this snake have also surfaced.
