Former Japanese Ambassador to America Rahm Emmanuel has launched a scathing attack on President Donald Trump. He has alleged that Trump, because of his ‘arrogance and money received from Pakistan’, ended America’s 40 years of strategic relations with India. Rahm Emmanuel said that this is not only a diplomatic mistake but also a strategic mistake, which China has taken advantage of.
Rahm Emmanuel has said that he (Trump)America Relationships were harmed because of personal interest and ego. Trump ‘put the decades-long strategic partnership with India at stake for some money and personal interests.’
Emmanuel further said, ‘President Trump ruined relations with India because his ego came in the way and money from Pakistan was given to his son.’
He said that the 40-year strategic plan between America and India was ruined by the Trump administration’s wrong policies and politics of personal gain. The strategic management we had made regarding India was destroyed by our own government. Our President ruined 40 years of hard work because of his ego and the money he received from Pakistan. This is a big strategic mistake, which China is taking advantage of.
Emmanuel alleged that Pakistan gave money not only to Trump’s son but also to the son of businessman Witkoff. He said this is a ‘dangerous turn’ for America’s long-term Indo-Pacific interests. This move by Trump has damaged America’s credibility and has given China an opportunity to take the lead in Asia. China took advantage of this entire situation. He turned America’s diplomatic failure regarding India in his favor.
Rahm Emmanuel has previously been the Mayor of Chicago and has also been Chief of Staff to Barack Obama. This comment of Emmanuel has created a stir in American political circles.
