One got her nose cut, the other got applause… Two lady CSPs of MP are in the headlines; Seoni’s Pooja Pandey jailed, Gwalior’s Hina Khan chanted ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and fueled the movement – CSP Pooja Pandey and Hina Khan Dominated Internet Buzz lcln

Two women officers of Madhya Pradesh Police, CSP Pooja Pandey (Seoni) and CSP Hina Khan (Gwalior) are in the headlines of social and mainstream media. The reason why both of them are in discussion is opposite. One brought the police department into disrepute by committing ‘robbery’ worth crores of rupees, while the other won accolades by acting wisely amid caste tension.

Suture CSP Pooja Pandey: CSP Pooja Pandey posted in Seoni district is accused of looting ₹ 2.96 crore from hawala traders. In fact, during checking in the forest of Siladehi on the night of 8-9 October, hawala money going from Katni to Jalna was found, which was seized by Pooja Pandey along with the policemen under her command.

After the matter was revealed, Pooja Pandey was suspended on the orders of DGP Kailash Makwana. A case was registered against him and 11 policemen including TI Arpit Bhairam under serious sections like robbery, kidnapping and they have been arrested and sent to jail. The police are accused of assaulting the driver and instead of seizing the cash, they did not inform the superiors.

Gwalior CSP Hina Khan won hearts by saying ‘Jai Shri Ram’
On the other hand, Gwalior’s CSP Hina Khan showed her wisdom by defusing the Dalit versus upper caste movement. Actually, this whole controversy started with Advocate Anil Mishra’s controversial remarks on Baba Saheb Ambedkar. Dalit organizations had warned of a major agitation on October 15 after this statement, which increased caste tension in the city.

Amidst the tension, Advocate Anil Mishra wanted to get Ramayana recited outside his house, which the police did not allow. When Mishra accused Hina Khan of being ‘anti-Sanatan’, Hina Khan showed wisdom by raising slogans of ‘Jai Jai Shri Ram’ and gave the message that she is not against any religion.

This video of the female police officer went viral and social media users are praising her. On the other hand, the administration has deployed 4000 police forces in the district and has banned the movement on 15th October i.e. today.
