IAS officer Nagarjun B Gowda posted in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh is once again in the news. RTI activist Anand Jat, resident of Harda, has once again made allegations against the officer. This time, allegations have been made that the IAS officer has purchased 4 acres of valuable land worth Rs 8 crore in the capital Bhopal with bribe money. On the other hand, IAS officer Nagarjun B Gowda said that if you buy any property while in government service, then it is done with the permission of the government.
RTI activist Anand Jat has accused IAS officer Nagarjuna Gowda of buying land with bribe money. Talking to journalists, Anand Jat said that the market value of the land he has purchased is Rs 2 crore per acre. Meaning the cost of 4 acres of land was Rs 8 crore.
Along with this, Anand Jat once again raised questions on reducing the fine of Rs 51 crore to Rs 4 thousand and also pointed out some shortcomings. Anand says that now a complaint will be made in this matter to EOW.
Aajtak also investigated the documents of the land in Bhopal which was purchased by the IAS officer. In which it was found that the said land is in Fatehpur Dobra village of Phanda block of Bhopal. The price of this 4 acre land as per government guidelines is Rs 94 lakh 76 thousand.
IAS officer Nagarjun Gowda and Bhopal resident Rohit Sharma have jointly purchased this land for Rs 90 lakh. Nagarjuna Gowda will have 2 acres of land. According to the amount written in the registry, he has purchased 2 acres of land for Rs 45 lakh. However, it is known to all that there is a difference between the government rate of land and the market rate.
On the other hand, Nagarjuna Gowda told Aajtak over phone call that when government servants buy property, they buy it only after taking permission from the government. He also made the purchase only after taking permission.
