John Kiriaku, a former officer of America’s intelligence agency CIA, has revealed many big secrets related to the politics of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and South Asia. Kiriaku said that America had “bought” former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf by giving billions of dollars in aid. According to him, there was a time when America had control over Pakistan’s nuclear weapons.
John Kiriakou, who worked in the CIA for 15 years and was responsible for counter-terrorism operations in Pakistan, told ANI, “America Likes to work with dictators because there is no pressure from the public or media. We had bought Musharraf and he allowed us to do as per our wish in Pakistan.”
He said that Musharraf was playing a double game – on the one hand, he pretended to cooperate with America against terrorism, while on the other Pakistan Used to keep the army and terrorist gangs active against India. Kiriaku said, “The Pakistani army did not care about Al-Qaeda, their real concern was India. Musharraf was supporting America in appearance, but behind the scenes was working against India.”
Saudi Arabia saved AQ Khan
Kiriaku told that America was about to take action against Pakistan’s nuclear scientist Abdul Qadir Khan, but at the request of Saudi Arabia, it took steps back. He said, “If we had thought like Israel, we would have eliminated AQ Khan. It was not difficult to find him, but Saudi Arabia said, ‘Leave him, we are working with him.'”
According to Kiriaku, this was a big mistake of America. According to him, Saudi Arabia itself was working on nuclear technology and perhaps that is why it saved AQ Khan. He said, “We always suspected that Saudi Arabia itself was increasing its nuclear capability.”
He said that the recent Saudi-Pakistan defense agreement could be a part of this old relationship. “Now Saudi Arabia is probably recovering the same investments it made years ago.”
America’s “dual policy” and changing power balance
Kiriaku said that America talks about democracy, but its foreign policy is completely based on selfishness. He said, “We show ourselves to be protectors of democracy and human rights, but the truth is that we do only what benefits us.”
According to him, the relationship between America and Saudi Arabia is completely based on “oil and weapons”. “We buy their oil and they buy our weapons. That’s the real relationship,” he said. Kiriaku said that a Saudi guard once taunted him, “You are our hired guard – we have paid you and called you here.”
Kiriaku further said that now the power balance of the world is changing rapidly. Saudi Arabia, China and India are making their place with new strategies. “Now we have oil ourselves, we don’t need Saudi that much. That’s why Saudi is now strengthening relations with China and India. The direction of the whole world is changing,” he said.
