The story of Sardhana police station area of Meerut is very surprising. Here a property dispute brought a family to a dangerous point. The daughter-in-law conspired to kill her mother-in-law and got her brother shot by giving her a betel nut. The incident started on 12 October. Seema Devi, who lives in Meerut, is the second wife of Mukesh Chand. Seema was in her house when she was shot in her right leg. After this there was chaos in the house. Seema was immediately taken to the hospital, where she is undergoing treatment. This incident spread sensation in the entire area.
When the police started investigation, the whole story came to light. Investigation revealed that this entire conspiracy was hatched by Seema’s daughter-in-law Komal. Komal had met her brother Bhavya and asked him to finish the work of her step-mother-in-law. Komal said that Seema Devi wanted to adopt a child. If she had done so, her property would have been divided. Due to this greed, Komal lured her brother with Rs 1.5 lakh and ordered him to murder her mother-in-law.
The police extracted CCTV footage and mobile call details (CDR) from around the incident spot, which exposed the conspiracy. Photos and call records revealed that Komal and Bhavya were in constant touch before the incident and Komal had also informed Bhavya about the location of her mother-in-law.
With full planning, Bhavya entered Seema’s house wearing a mask and fired a bullet, which hit Seema in the leg. Seema’s husband Mukesh Chand was at the shop at the time of the incident.
The police have arrested Komal, his brother Bhavya and an associate Harshit who were involved in this conspiracy. A 32 bore pistol was also recovered from Bhavya, which was given to him by Harshit. During interrogation, Bhavya admitted that Harshit had given him a pistol and cartridges and sent him to kill his sister’s mother-in-law. Harshit has also been arrested.
On this whole matter, SP Dehat Abhijeet Kumar said that the police has started action by taking all the accused into custody. There used to be disputes between Seema Devi and her daughter-in-law Komal earlier also. Seema Devi wanted to adopt the child, whereas Komal did not want to accept it. This difference of opinion made the relationship so complicated that the daughter-in-law hatched a conspiracy with the help of her brother and partner.
