Mayawati targeted opposition parties

Congress UP President Ajay Rai had accused BSP of being the ‘B team’ of BJP and said that the Yogi government had arranged for roadways buses to gather crowd at BSP’s Lucknow rally. Mayawati rejected these allegations, terming them as the mentality of a ‘little cat pulling out a pillar’. In the October 9 rally, Mayawati had accused the SP government of changing the names of districts, universities and schemes named after Bahujan great men, due to which the name of SP got registered in the black pages of history. He thanked the present BJP-led government, which accepted the BSP’s demand to spend the money from ticket sales on the maintenance of monuments.

Appealed for financial support from workers

Mayawati urged the workers to provide financial support to the party on her birthday (January 15), so that the organization becomes stronger. He said that the aim of BSP is to make the Bahujan Samaj a ‘giving society, not a taking one’. The BSP chief said that the opposition parties never like the political honesty of the Bahujan Samaj Party, but the party will remain firm on its principles. Infusing enthusiasm among the workers, he gave the message of giving priority to public welfare and Bahujan interests. Reiterating the basic mantra of the party to the workers, he said that contact with the public should be increased at every level and the organization should be strengthened up to the booth level so that the Bahujan Samaj Party can win in the upcoming elections.
