There was panic in Dharuhera, the industrial area of Rewari in Haryana, when four buses parked in an empty plot suddenly caught fire. Within no time the flames spread so much that within a few minutes all four buses were completely burnt to ashes. This incident of arson took place in Sector-6 area of Dharuhera at around 12 o’clock in the night, when there was silence all around.
When the local people saw the suddenly rising flames and smoke, they immediately ran away. First he tried to extinguish the fire himself, but when the flames went out of control, he immediately informed on dial-112. As soon as the information was received, fire brigade vehicles and police team reached the spot. The fire personnel controlled the fire after a lot of effort, but by then all four buses were completely burnt.
According to fire department officials, the fire was so severe that only the structures of the buses survived. The cause of the fire is not yet clear, but initial suspicion is that either a short circuit may have occurred or someone may have carelessly thrown a burning object.
The smoke emanating from the incident site continued to spread throughout the area till late night, causing trouble to the local people. Many people closed the windows of their houses and there was commotion in the area till morning. Dharuhera police station has started investigation to find out the cause of the fire. At present, the administration has started assessing the damage. Property worth lakhs of rupees was destroyed in the fire.
