The man-eating wolf had created terror in Manjhara Taukli area of Bahraich district for the last one and a quarter month. So far, an elderly couple along with four innocent children have lost their lives in the attacks of this wolf, while more than two and a half dozen people have been injured. There was an atmosphere of fear and panic among the local people. Now this wolf has been killed.
According to the information, the wolf was attacking in Bhirgu Purva village of Manjhara Taukali. People were afraid to even come out of their homes due to the wolf’s actions. Many times the forest department team tried to catch it, but the wolf could not be caught. Finally, Bahraich The Forest Department team killed him at around 4 am today. This action was led by former DFO Ajit Singh.
The forest department team first tried to catch the wolf alive, but it could not succeed. For security reasons and keeping in mind the safety of the local people, the wolf was killed by shooting. The wolf’s body has been brought to Bahraich Forest Department Headquarters for post-mortem. After this action, people in the area have heaved a sigh of relief.
The lives of many families were disrupted due to wolf attacks. The Forest Department has warned people to still be cautious in the forest and surrounding areas.
