The controversy arising out of installing the statue of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar in the court complex in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh is not stopping. Tension continues on the ground and on social media between one group of lawyers who came out in protest against the statue and the advocacy group on the other. Meanwhile, the society in favor of installing the statue got enraged by the statements of High Court lawyer Anil Mishra. As a precautionary measure, the police administration took out a flag march in the city.
Meanwhile, a big controversy broke out between the supporters of University area CSP Hina Khan and Advocate Anil Mishra regarding the organization of Ramcharitmanas (Ramayana) recitation in the city center area of the city. The controversy escalated further when due to administrative pressure the Hanuman temple was locked and the study materials were returned.
The controversy started when Anil Mishra’s people wanted to set up a tent near a Hanuman temple in Patel Nagar and recite Ramcharitmanas, but the CSP returned the contents of the tent. When the media tried to get the CSP’s stand on this issue, a strange situation arose.
Advocate Anil Mishra accused CSP of being ‘anti-Sanatan’. In response to this allegation, CSP Hina Khan loudly raised slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and said, “No, I am not an opponent of Sanatan.”
Lock on the temple, then protest on the middle of the road
Anil Mishra and his supporters allege that due to pressure from the administration, the Hanuman temple was locked, due to which they had to return without reciting. People angrily asked, “Are we Pakistanis?”
Angered by the locking of the temple, Anil Mishra and his supporters sat on a dharna in the middle of the road in Patel Nagar. During the dharna, they started chanting ‘Sitaram Sitaram’ and raised slogans of ‘Down with the police administration’.
The video of the entire incident is going viral, in which sloganeering on the road, heated argument between CSP and Advocate Anil Mishra, and the contents of the tent being returned can be clearly seen.
