International drug network busted in Delhi-NCR, drug cache worth crores recovered, 26 foreign nationals arrested – dri delhi ncr drug bust international network amphetamines heroin cocaine ganja seized arrests ntc

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence has achieved a major success. DRI has exposed the international drug network running in Delhi-NCR. 16.27 kg of amphetamine, 7.9 kg of cocaine, 1.8 kg of heroin, 2.13 kg of ganja and 115.42 kg of drug making chemicals have been seized.

The total value of the seized items in the black market is around Rs 108.81 crore. 26 foreign nationals have been arrested in this action.

DRI had received specific information that Greater Noida Narcotics are being manufactured secretly in a farmhouse. When the investigation team raided here, they found 11.40 kg of amphetamine and more than 110 kg of chemicals, which were used to prepare them.

After this the team caught the main operator of this network from Gurugram. 1.33 kg of amphetamine was also recovered from his house.

Then the agency came to know that these drugs were kept hidden at a place in West Delhi and they were supplied from there. This area was very crowded and it was difficult to reach in the narrow streets there.

As soon as the team reached the spot, a large number of people gathered there and started trying to stop the action. Facing the situation and before the evidence was destroyed, the team successfully carried out the entire operation with the help of Delhi Police.

7.79 kg of cocaine, 1.87 kg of heroin, 3.54 kg of amphetamine, 2 kg of ganja, 150 g of methaqualone and 4.5 kg of drug making chemicals were found from here. Besides, Rs 37 lakh in cash was also recovered, which is said to be the money earned from drug trade.

DRI’s precise planning and strong action

In this three-day campaign, DRI conducted raids at many different places, in which many agencies participated. The team worked with utmost patience and planning despite challenging circumstances and opposition.

This entire action showed how DRI works on the basis of intelligence and how strong is its preparation to end the illegal drug trade.

At present, the investigation is going on and the agency is trying to find out who else is involved behind this network.
