Indian Army showing strength in Australia, joint military exercise begins, focus on terrorism in urban areas – India Australia Joint Military Exercise Austrahind 2025 Perth NTC

The fourth joint military exercise AUSTRAHIND-2025 between the armies of India and Australia started from Monday at Irwin Barracks, Perth. This exercise will run from 13 to 26 October 2025 and its objective is to strengthen the ability and operational preparedness of both the armies to work together.

This year’s exercise focuses specifically on anti-terrorism operations in urban and semi-urban areas. Additionally, the forces practiced several scenarios, learning from the experiences of UN peacekeeping missions. This practices multinational coordination, rapid response and flexibility.

In the exercise, soldiers will do tactical exercises, mission planning and field training. Its objective is to increase coordination and mutual understanding between the two armies. During this, contingents of India and Australia will share their experiences and strategies. Soldiers will get experience in different situations, which will make them better prepared for real missions.
