By describing India as a powerful player in the new world order, a powerful part of the Global South and a country with unstoppable ambitions, the top Pakistani general himself has told what the threat of New India is in the 21st century. This statement is from General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, a four-star general of Pakistan and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC).
This general openly expressed his jealousy of India’s growing power by calling India the Trojan Horse of the Global South.
Addressing an event ‘Balancing Relationship between Global North and Global South: Challenges and Opportunities’ organized in Islamabad, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza said, “Ladies and Gentlemen, in short I would like to say that India is an important country of the Global South, and an aspiring country with an important place in the world order.”
After first talking about India’s strength, this general suddenly started behaving like a typical Pakistani and started calling India ‘imperialist’.
General Sahir Shamshad Mirza further said, “…although India has imperialist desires and follows a policy of expansionism.”

General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, while giving speeches on India, said that India promotes fundamentalism, violates UN resolutions and crushes human rights.
Pakistani general while giving his opinion on India said, “India is an important country of the Global South… but it cherishes Hegemony and Expansionism. It disregards UN resolutions and human rights. Therefore, its current approach contradicts the aspirations of the Global South – it is a potential Trojan Horse in this camp.”
In the program, Shamshad Mirza gave the message that he is eager to welcome the mediation of a third country to resolve the issue between India and Pakistan. He said, “We believe that it is necessary to have a third party to create a mechanism to resolve the disputes between India and Pakistan. We will always welcome any such effort by any country, multi-polar panel or international organization.”
The Pakistani General gave a ridiculous logic and said that the Indian Army has been politicized, and its politics has become militarized. This is a dangerous mix that destabilizes regional stability. This statement is from that Pakistan where till now not a single elected government has completed its tenure and where the army from time to time throws out the government and captures it.
This statement of Shamshad Mirza also shows that India’s strong response during Operation Sindoor was unexpected for Pakistan.
Number-2 officer of Pakistani Army, Shamshad Mirza said that Pakistan wants normal relations with India, but this normal relations should be based on peaceful co-existence, sovereignty and most importantly, respect and dignity.
In fact, Pakistan, trapped in its domestic issues, always feels that India does not give it respect and prestige.
Shamshad Mirza said that the next fight will not be limited to Kashmir. Referring to Operation Sindoor, he said that we fought for 96 hours on our own resources while India used military power and western support for dominance.
However, while saying this, Shamshad Mirza forgot to mention the Chinese missiles that failed in Operation Sindoor.
