Now less than a week is left for the start of the ODI series between India and Australia. But before this series, host Australia has suffered a big setback. The Australian team will be without two key players in the first ODI against India in Perth on October 19. Initially selected Adam Zampa and Josh Inglis will no longer play in the first match. Matthew Kuneman and Josh Philip have been included in the team in their place.
Why was Adam Zampa out?
Adam Zampa has decided to stay in New South Wales because his second child is about to be born. They hope to play the second and third ODI in Adelaide and Sydney. Meanwhile, Josh English has not yet fully recovered from the injury. Due to which Josh Philip has got his first chance in ODI.

The team’s main wicketkeeper Alex Carey will be participating in the Sheffield Shield to complete his preparation for the Ashes, hence he will not be a part of the ODIs. Matthew Kuneman has now come into the team in place of Zampa and this will be his first match in the 50 over format after three years.
Australia’s ODI squad: Mitchell Marsh (captain), Xavier Bartlett, Alex Carey, Cooper Connolly, Ben Dwarshuis, Nathan Ellis, Cameron Green, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Mitchell Owen, Matthew Renshaw, Matthew Short, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa.
