Lucknow Police has caught a big Natwarlal who used to cheat crores of rupees by pretending to be an IAS officer. Accused Dr. Vivek Mishra has been arrested near Kamta bus station. Police investigation has revealed that he has defrauded about Rs 80 crore from more than 150 people. CID was searching for him for six years.
Used to cheat by posing as IAS
Dr. Ashutosh Mishra, resident of Vikalp Khand, who is a lawyer in the Supreme Court, had filed a complaint against the accused in 2019. According to Ashutosh, he met Vivek Mishra through relatives in June 2018. Describing himself as a 2014 batch IAS officer, he said that he is posted as Principal Secretary in the Gujarat Government. He even claimed that his sisters are also IPS officers of Gujarat cadre.
Used to create fake profiles on social media
Lucknow According to the police, the accused used to create fake profiles on social media and WhatsApp groups. He would contact the families of the girls on the pretext of marriage and then demand money in the name of getting them a job. To establish trust, he used the names of real IAS and IPS officers.
Lakhs agitated in the name of job, fake appointment letters distributed
Ashutosh told that Vivek had given him fake appointment letters for the posts of Public Relations Officer and Deputy SP (Sports Quota) in the Home Ministry of Gujarat Government. When the documents were examined, everything turned out to be false. After this a case was registered in Chinhat police station.
The CID team was searching for this thug for 6 years. Investigation revealed that Vivek Mishra had laid a trap in many states in the name of providing government jobs and had duped dozens of victims of crores of rupees. Police are now investigating his bank accounts and digital records.
