The court of Special Judge POCSO Act (ADJ-27) Sonika Chaudhary has sentenced the culprits Amit and Nikhil to death. At the same time, cousin’s uncle Amit and his friend Nikhil came on a bike and coaxed the girl and took her with them. When the girl did not return for a long time, the family members started searching for her and lodged a kidnapping report in the police station.

During investigation, the police revealed that both the accused gang-raped and raped the girl, murdered her and buried her body in a mustard field. The extent of the brutality was such that deep injury marks were found all over the girl’s body.

After the incident, the accused called the girl’s father on March 19 and demanded a ransom of Rs 6 lakh to mislead the family. The father immediately informed the police, after which the police took action and arrested both the accused on March 20. The body of the girl was recovered at the behest of the accused, seeing whose condition the villagers and the policemen were stunned.

The post mortem report confirmed both gangrape and misdeeds. On the basis of solid evidence and evidence, the police filed a charge sheet in the court within a month.

During the trial, statements of 18 witnesses were recorded by the prosecution and concrete evidence was presented. ADGC Subhash Giri presented strong arguments while defending the case in the court. Considering all the facts and evidence, the court found both the accused guilty and sentenced them to death.
