On the night of Diwali in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, when the light of happiness was spread in every house, at the same time the echo of bullets spread mourning in Mahi Vatika Colony of Loni Border. A minor dispute over playing cards turned into a bloody fight, in which 22-year-old Ashu lost his life. Now Loni Border police station has exposed this sensational murder and arrested three murder accused friends.
Refused to play with outsiders
According to the police, the names of the arrested accused are Prashant Sharma alias Shahrukh Kalia, Heera Ali and Sachin Thakur alias Damru. Two 315 bore pistols, two live cartridges, one spent cartridge, a motorcycle and a scooter have been recovered from their possession. The reason for the murder is also shocking. On the night of Diwali, accused Prashant Sharma along with his friends Heera, Damru and Chaabi were bursting crackers in a vacant plot near Khushi Vatika Colony. Some local youth were playing cards there. The accused said that ‘we will also play cards’, but young Ashu refused to let the people outside play. All I had to hear was that it became a matter of respect and ego, and in this anger, Prashant took out a pistol from his waist and shot Ashu in the stomach. There was chaos on the spot and all the accused escaped.
Accused arrested within 48 hours
After the incident, the police started investigation and caught the three accused within 48 hours. The main accused Prashant Sharma confessed during interrogation that he had shot Ashu on the instigation of his friends. He told that he had come to Loni from Etah to pick up his wife on the occasion of Diwali, and at the time of the incident he had lost consciousness in anger.
Police investigation also revealed that three cases are already registered against the main accused Prashant – which include cases of robbery, illegal weapons and firing. A case of illegal weapons is also registered against Heera Ali. The fourth accused Vikas alias Chaabi is still absconding, the search for him is going on.
murder exposed
Loni Border Police, under the direction of ACP Ankur Vihar Gyan Prakash Rai, exposed this murder. Police say that a case has been registered against the three accused arrested in this murder case and further legal action is being taken. It is clear that a small ‘no’ became the reason for the death of a young man and just for refusing to play cards, the young man was murdered due to which the Diwali happiness of a family turned into mourning.
