A big encounter took place late night in Rohini, Delhi, in which four notorious criminals wanted from Bihar were killed by the police. This operation was done jointly by the crime branch of Delhi Police and the joint team of Bihar Police. These miscreants were planning to create terror in the state before the Bihar Assembly elections.

This encounter took place at around 2:20 am on the intervening night of 22 and 23 October. This encounter continued from Dr. Ambedkar Chowk to Pansali Chowk on Bahadur Shah Marg. There was a fierce shootout between the police and the miscreants, in which all four miscreants were shot. Everyone was later taken to Dr. BSA Hospital in Rohini for treatment.

The criminals killed in the encounter include Ranjan Pathak (25), Bimlesh Mahato alias Bimlesh Sahni (25), Manish Pathak (33) and Aman Thakur (21). Ranjan, Bimlesh and Manish were all residents of Sitamarhi district of Bihar, while Aman Thakur Delhi Was from Sherpur village of Karawal Nagar.

According to the police, these four accused Bihar Was wanted in many serious incidents. It is being told that this gang was infamous by the name of ‘Sigma and Company’ and its leader was Ranjan Pathak. This gang used to work from Nepal to Bihar.

Ranjan Pathak is the same scoundrel who had sent his biodata to media persons after a famous murder in Sitamarhi. Recently, Bihar Police had received an audio call of this gang, which revealed that this gang was planning to spread terror in the state before the Bihar elections.

The police was looking for this gang for a long time. Ultimately, the police of both the states together carried out this operation and killed all the four criminals including Ranjan Pathak.
