Bihar elections: JDU’s strict action against rebels… 11 leaders including former minister-MLA expelled from party – JDU expels 11 rebel leaders before bihar election 2025 NTC

In view of Bihar Assembly elections, Janata Dal (United) has taken strict action against rebellion within the organization. The party has expelled its 11 rebel leaders contesting the elections independently with immediate effect.

In the letter issued by State General Secretary Chandan Kumar Singh, it has been said that these leaders have acted against the ideology, discipline and organizational conduct of the party, due to which they are suspended from the primary membership and expelled.

Let us tell you that JDU has fielded its candidates on a total of 101 seats in Bihar, out of which it is trying its luck on 57 seats in the first phase and 44 seats in the second phase. Not only this, out of the 43 MLAs won by JDU in 2020, 23 MLAs i.e. more than half had won from the first phase seats.

The expelled leaders include former minister Shailesh Kumar (Jamalpur, Munger), former MLA Sanjay Prasad (Chakai, Jamui), former MLC Shyam Bahadur Singh (Barharia, Siwan), Ranvijay Singh (Badhara, Bhojpur), Sudarshan Kumar (Barbigha, Sheikhpura), Amar Kumar Singh (Sahebpur Kamal, Begusarai), Asma Parveen (Mahua, Vaishali), Luv Kumar (Navinagar, Aurangabad), Asha Suman (Kadwa, Katihar), Divyanshu Bhardwaj (Motihari, East Champaran) and Vivek Shukla (Jiradei, Siwan).

JDU said that all these leaders have damaged the image of the organization by contesting against the party candidates as independent or otherwise. The party made it clear that any such rebellious attitude will not be tolerated.

JDU competes with RJD on 36 seats in the first phase

Of the 121 seats where voting is to be held in the first phase, JDU is contesting on 57 seats. JDU has a direct fight with RJD on 36 seats in the first phase and Congress on 13 seats. Apart from this, JDU is fighting with CPI Male on seven seats and Mukesh Sahni’s party is fighting with VIP on two seats.

Whereas there is a contest between RJD and BJP on 23 seats, there is a direct fight between Congress and BJP on only 13 seats in the first phase. Chirag Paswan’s party LJP (R) will have to compete directly with RJD on 10 seats, while CPI-ML will defeat BJP on five seats each. Mukesh Sahni’s party VIP is contesting against BJP candidates on four seats, while both the candidates of Upendra Kushwaha’s RLM are contesting against RJD candidates.

Let us tell you that assembly elections in Bihar will be held in two phases. The first phase on 6th November and the second on 11th November. Counting of votes will take place on November 14. While deciding the seat sharing formula, NDA had announced that JDU and BJP will contest elections on 101-101 seats. At the same time, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has been given 29 seats, and Hindustani Awam Morcha and Rashtriya Lok Morcha have been given 6 seats each. Candidates have also been announced by all the parties.
