The matter of seat sharing in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for Bihar Assembly elections has become more complicated due to the claim of Chirag Paswan led Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas).

According to sources, Chirag Paswan A deadlock has arisen due to Janata Dal United (JDU) claiming some sitting (existing) and important seats. It is being said that these seats are traditional seats of JDU.

The screw is stuck on these seats:

Rajgir: This is a sitting seat of JDU, but LJP(R) is adamant on including it in its account, due to which the matter is stuck.

Sonbarsa: This seat is even more sensitive for JDU, because currently Minister Ratnesh Saada is the MLA on this seat, and JDU has also issued him the symbol. JDU is not ready to give this seat to Chirag.

Morava: JDU also does not want to give Morwa seat to Chirag Paswan, whereas in the 2020 elections, JDU had lost this seat by about 11,000 votes.

Despite JDU issuing the symbol for Sonbarsa seat to its sitting MLA and minister Ratnesh Saada, Chirag Paswan’s insistence on these seats is hindering the process of building consensus within the NDA.

Whereas JDU’s Tarapur seat has gone to BJP this time. Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary will contest elections from here and Samrat will file nomination on October 16.
