Gambhir’s cricket career
on 4 December 2018 Gautam Gambhir Had announced his retirement from international cricket. His last Test match for India was against England in Rajkot in 2016. Gambhir scored 4154 runs in 58 matches in Test cricket. His average in this format was 41.95 and he scored nine centuries.

In ODI, Gautam Gambhir scored 5238 runs in 147 matches, during which his average was 39.68. He played a total of 11 century innings in ODIs. He scored 932 runs in 37 T20 Internationals, which included seven half-centuries. Under the captaincy of Gambhir, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) won the Indian Premier League (IPL) title twice (2012 & 2014).
