Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha and one of the famous editors of the country, Harivansh has described the eminent writer of Hindi literature and litterateur Acharya Hazari Prasad Dwivedi as the pioneer of cultural consciousness. He said that Acharya ji’s literature beautifully represents all the aspects of common people’s life and he made literature a medium to provide beauty to the entire mankind.
On the occasion of the 119th birth anniversary of Acharya Dwivedi ji, Harivansh said the above things in his presidential address in the lecture series organized by Acharya Hazari Prasad Dwivedi Memorial Trust in the auditorium of Sahitya Akademi on the topic of Acharya Dwivedi’s famous essay ‘Ashoka Ke Phool’. In this program, famous litterateur Dr. Vishwanath Tripathi, former Chairman of Hindi Department of Ranchi University, Dr. Vindhyavasini Nandan Pandey and Professor Vinay ‘Vishwas’, College of Vocational Studies, Delhi University, threw light in detail on the personality and work of Acharya Dwivedi.
On this occasion, the souvenir ‘Punarnava’ published by Acharya Hazari Prasad Dwivedi Memorial Trust was released. Along with this, the book ‘Acharya Hazari Prasad Dwivedi: Vichar Kosh’ written by Dr. Vindhyavasini Pandey was also released. Trust President Dr. Aparna Dwivedi gave detailed information about the action plans of the Trust. Abhay Pandey, great grandson of Acharya Dwivedi ji welcomed the guests.
In his address, Harivansh said that it is necessary to keep in mind the works of litterateurs like Acharya Dwivedi to deal with the material challenges of today’s modern life. He said that those who have seen Acharya ji in person, know very well that he was a flame that could never be extinguished. He was a great litterateur and an even greater pioneer of cultural consciousness.
Acharya Dwivedi’s disciple and senior litterateur Dr. Vishwanath Tripathi reminded the listeners of the untouched aspects of Acharya ji’s life. He described the time spent with Acharyaji as the best period of his life and described it as an excellent example of Guru-disciple tradition. He introduced the uniqueness of Acharyaji’s literary style and informed about various aspects of the essay ‘Ashoka Ke Phool’.
Dr. Vindhyavasini Pandey discussed the Ashoka flower in terms of tradition and modernity. Dr. Vinay Biswas, Professor of College of Vocational Studies, Delhi University, said that while connecting the Ashoka flower with the philosophy of life, he described beauty as a symbol of spontaneity. He said that beauty is real only when it is natural and for this harmony is necessary. The stage was moderated by senior journalist and public policy expert Avinash Chandra.
