Experienced batsman Karun Nair is performing amazingly in Ranji Trophy 2025-26. Karun scored unbeaten 174 runs in the first innings for Karnataka in the match against Goa. This was the 25th century of Karun’s first-class career. Earlier, he had played innings of 73 runs against Saurashtra. This is the same Karun, who did not get a place in the Indian team for the two-match home Test series against West Indies. That series was won by Team India led by Shubman Gill by 2-0.

People may have their own opinion, but my opinion is that I should have got better treatment. Karun clearly said that he did not have much conversation with the team management. Karun told that some players of the team talked to him and expressed their opinion.
Karun Nair says, ‘I am not one to accept defeat. My job is to score runs and I will keep doing that. I just tell myself that I should have got more than one series. But I don’t take these things seriously. My dream is to play for the country. If that is not possible, then the next aim is to win the team for which I am playing. Karun returned to the Indian team after performing brilliantly for Vidarbha in the last two domestic seasons. Now, even though he had to be out of Team India again, his courage is not broken.
