A heart-wrenching incident came to light on Saturday morning in Kolhampur village of Nawabganj police station area of ​​Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh. Here a husband brutally beat his wife to death with a hammer in front of his five-year-old son. After the incident, the accused fled leaving his son at his in-laws’ house. As soon as information about the incident was received, sensation spread in the area and there was panic in the police department.

According to Janaki, the deceased has been identified as 36-year-old Aarti, while the name of the accused husband is said to be Ganiram (40). Both of them were married eight years ago through court marriage and have a son, Kanha. It is being told that there was a dispute between the husband and wife over some issue at night, after which Gani Ram, in anger, attacked Aarti with a hammer.

Aarti died on the spot. After the incident, the accused left his five-year-old son Kanha at his in-laws’ house located in Wazirganj police station area. After reaching there the innocent child told his maternal uncle that his mother was killed by his father. The entire family was stunned by the statement of the innocent child. As soon as the information was received, the police and forensic team reached the spot and took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem.

Additional Superintendent of Police Radheshyam Rai said that on the complaint of the deceased’s brother, a case has been registered against the accused Gani Ram under relevant sections. Four police teams have been formed to arrest the accused. At present, the police is raiding in search of the absconding husband, while there is an atmosphere of mourning and panic in the village after the incident.
