Congress leader Udit Raj has alleged that his Pandara Park bungalow was forcibly vacated. He said that no notice was given to me, I was only told verbally. The matter is still in the court and the next hearing will be on October 28. Udit Raj alleges that the officials threw his belongings on the road.
He said, ‘An officer told me this verbally the day before yesterday. The concerned authorities did not give any notice and yesterday suddenly 15-20 people came with the police and started throwing our belongings out. The next hearing in the court is on October 28. Now our belongings have been thrown out. Now we will see where we will be today.
What is the whole matter?
In fact, the Congress leader alleged on Friday that the authorities forcibly evicted his family from his bungalow in Pandara Park, Delhi, while the matter is still pending in the court. There has been no reaction yet from the government on this eviction. The bungalow was allotted to the former MP’s wife Seema Raj, who is a retired IRS officer. He said that he had deposited the license fee of this bungalow by May 31.

Speaking to news agency PTI, Udit Raj said, ‘You can see yourself, the stuff from our house is being thrown out. The matter is still pending in the court and the next hearing is on October 28. What was the harm in waiting three-four more days?

He said that he will respect the court’s decision, but this kind of trouble is actually a punishment for raising the voice of Dalits and the poor. Udit Raj alleged that this action is selective and full of bias. A lower caste opposition leader is being targeted, while ‘many upper caste people are still occupying government bungalows.’
‘Will raise the matter with the party leadership’
He said, ‘I tried to contact (Union Minister) Manohar Lal Khattar, but could not reach him. No senior officer is available on phone. No one is telling me anything. Udit Raj termed this action as ‘atrocity’ and said that he will raise this matter with his party leadership.
