Delhi Police has taken major action by conducting two important operations against criminals in the capital. Police have arrested many miscreants in the encounters that took place in Mehrauli and Nangloi areas. According to the police, in both the incidents serious damage could be avoided due to the alertness and professional attitude of the security forces.
The team of Mehrauli police station has caught a notorious criminal named Kaku Pahadia during an encounter. Police say that Kaku Paharia had warrants in several criminal cases, including cases related to illegal arms supply.
During the encounter, Pahadia started firing on the police team. In response, the police also fired in self-defence. During this, the accused was shot in the leg. During this, the bulletproof jackets of two policemen were hit by bullets, while a constable got injured in his hand. Kaku Pahadia, who was injured by the bullet, was immediately admitted to AIIMS Trauma Center, where his condition is said to be stable. Police said that the accused will be interrogated.
Encounter between miscreants and police in Nangloi
Similarly, there was an encounter between police and criminals in Nangloi area. In this, three out of four miscreants were injured and were caught. DCP Outer Sachin Sharma said that this was the same gang which had escaped after firing during a hot chase with the police two days ago.
When the police team tried to stop the miscreants, they started firing again. The police retaliated and three miscreants were injured in the shooting. Everyone was admitted to the hospital.
Police said that in both the encounters, the security forces acted with caution. In both cases, the police gave priority to the safety of the public and its officers. Delhi Police spokesperson said that the objective behind these encounters is not only to catch the criminals but also to stop the increasing criminal activities in the capital and ensure the safety of the people. After the encounter, investigation and inquiry is going on, so that the entire gang and their network can be exposed.
