The film from which no one had much expectations is continuously surprising at the box office. Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s film ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ was released on Tuesday. This film, which came as a Diwali release, had a clash with ‘Thama’ coming from a popular property like Horror Universe.
‘Thama’ has names like Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, who are definitely more popular than the lead actors of ‘Deewaniyat’. But despite being considered weak, ‘Deewaniyat’ has created such an atmosphere at the box office that it is moving towards being called a ‘hit’ very soon.
‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ made the audience crazy
Before the release, there were speculations in the trade that ‘Deewaniyat’ could collect Rs 3 crore on the first day. If it opens up to Rs 5 crore, it will be a big thing. This film which brings a love story has got ‘A’ rating, due to which the audience gets reduced a bit. It also got less screens compared to the big film ‘Thama’. But still ‘Deewaniyat’ surprised the trade with a collection of more than Rs 10 crore on the very first day. On the second day its collection did not decrease even by 20% and stood at Rs 8.88 crore.
Now trade reports are saying that ‘Deewaniyat’ has collected around Rs 7 crore on the third day. That means there has been no major decline in its earnings even on the third day. Now its total net collection in three days has exceeded Rs 26 crore.
The film will become a hit within a week

‘Deewaniyat’, released on Tuesday, can make a net collection of Rs 45 crore to Rs 50 crore at the box office by Sunday. Nowadays, films do not even have to withdraw their entire budget from the box office because about 40% of the budget is recovered from OTT and other deals. That’s why nowadays makers call films a hit as soon as they earn more than their budget at the box office. According to this, ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ can prove to be a hit at the box office in less than a week.
