Piyush Pandey, a famous name of the Indian advertising industry, passed away on Thursday. He worked with Ogilvy India for more than four decades. Piyush Pandey joined Ogilvy in 1982. He entered the English-dominated advertising industry at the age of 27 and changed it forever.

Businessman Sohail Seth expressed grief over the demise of Piyush Pandey on his social media account. He wrote, “I am deeply saddened and heartbroken by the loss of a genius like my dearest friend Piyush Pandey. India We have lost not only a great advertising mind but also a true patriot and a very good human being.”

Piyush Pandey was born in 1955 in a family of Jaipur. He had nine siblings, including seven sisters and two brothers. Piyush Pandey’s father worked in a bank. Pandey also played cricket for many years. He created advertisements for Asian Paints for ‘Bringing colors to every happiness’, ‘Kuch Khaas Hai’ for Cadbury and for brands like Fevicol and Hutch.
