During that time he met a friend of his who had a construction business. He told that he is looking for ex-servicemen for the security of the project site. When Sinha told about his friendship with the soldiers of Bihar Regiment during the war, the friend advised him to form a security company.
Then RK Sinha contacted the ex-servicemen. Many of them were looking for work after retirement. In February 1974, SIS was established in a two-room garage in Patna. He met his contacts in Bihar Regiment and took the details of retired personnel and convinced them to work. Within a year of the establishment of SIS, the number of employees of the company increased to 250-300 and the turnover crossed Rs 1 lakh.
Company gets more revenue from Australia
Apart from India, RK Singh’s company is providing services in many countries including Australia. SIS gets maximum revenue from Australia. SIS has started a joint venture with Spain’s Prosegur to provide cash logistics services. RK Sinha is not only a successful businessman, but he is also a politician.
