The body of Neelu Raikwar, wife of Nishad Party District President Shivkumar Raikwar alias SK Baba, was found hanging in her house in Friends Colony. Neelu’s mother says that the son-in-law had illicit relations with many women, he used to beat Neelu when she protested, due to which she took this step.
Mother reached when phone was not answered
At around 9 am on Wednesday morning, Neelu’s mother Rekha Raikwar called her daughter as usual. The phone kept ringing continuously, but there was no answer. When her restlessness increased, she went straight to her daughter’s rented house. The door was locked from inside. There was no movement even after knocking repeatedly. With the help of nearby people, information was given to the police. When the police broke the door, the sight before them shocked everyone. Neelu’s body was hanging from the noose. Police investigated the spot and sent the body for postmortem.
Mother’s allegation – used to torture her daughter
The deceased’s mother Rekha Raikwar made serious allegations against her son-in-law. He says that the daughter’s married life was under stress for a long time. My daughter was beaten and thrown out of the house by her husband eight months ago. She was living in her maternal home. Whenever the son-in-law came, he went away after fighting. He had relations with many women, he used to break his daughter mentally by showing their pictures. Rekha said that on Tuesday Neelu had gone to her in-laws’ house to meet her children. She gave new clothes to the children and stayed there for the night. When he did not answer the call the next morning, I reached there myself. When the door did not open, the police was called. Everything was over as soon as the door broke.
Husband said – this is not suicide, it is a conspiracy
On the other hand, the deceased’s husband and Nishad Party District President Shivkumar Raikwar (S.K. Baba) denied the allegations. He told that I got a call at 12:30 pm that Neelu was unwell. When I reached there I came to know that she was no more. It was our child’s birthday on 8th, she was happy, talking about buying a car. This does not appear to be suicide. Perhaps someone has hatched a conspiracy. He said that some people are spreading rumors to weaken his political influence. I am currently a grieving husband and father. But people doing politics are also turning this sorrow into a weapon.
