Apple has not yet launched its foldable phone or any other foldable device. Many people are waiting for Apple’s foldable devices. Well, every month some leak related to such products of Apple comes to light. However, if the latest update is to be believed, people will have to wait longer for Apple’s foldable device.
It may take time till 2029 for the company to launch its foldable device. It is possible that the company may take even more time than this. According to Mark Gurman, the company is working on a foldable iPad, whose initial code name is J312. The company was earlier going to launch it by 2028.
Company wants to launch iPad Fold
For your folding iPad apple Samsung is working closely with the display company. The company wants a foldable OLED panel from Samsung, which has less creases. If reports are to be believed, the company does not want to provide any display on the cover screen of the foldable iPad.

That means when you close it, it will look like a MacBook. The company is going to use aluminum for the outer case. When unfolded, it will be like a 13-inch laptop screen. However, now you will have to wait a long time for its launch.
Why is there a delay?
The biggest challenge is weight. The weight of the product Apple wants to make is about 3.5 pounds (about 1.5 kilograms). Whereas the weight of the current iPad ranges from 1 to 1.3 pounds i.e. (500 grams).

Apart from this cost and technology Expenses are another big issue. The company is developing an 18-inch OLED display, which will cost quite a bit. Its price will reach around $3000, which will be three times more expensive than the 13-inch iPad Pro.
Apple’s prototype is similar to Huawei MateBook Fold, which weighs less, but costs $3400. However, this device is available only in China. If everything goes according to the company’s plan, then the company will launch its foldable iPad in 2029.
