A heart-wrenching and shameful incident has come to light from Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh. In this incident that tears apart relationships, a cousin brother raped his own 19-year-old sister. When the sister became pregnant, she gave birth to a newborn baby. But humanity became even more ashamed when that innocent child died after some time. According to the police, the victim’s family members allegedly killed the newborn due to fear of public condemnation. To hide the body, it was thrown into a pond. The police took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. In the post-mortem report, an injury mark has been found on the child’s head. Police have registered a case against the mother and brother of the victim girl on the complaint of the village watchman.
Parents attributed pregnancy to tumor
The incident took place in a village under Sarai Akil police station area. A 19-year-old girl here was made a victim of his lust by her own cousin. The consequences of this cruelty that continued for months came to light when the girl became pregnant. But the family made every effort to hide it. According to the information, the victim’s parents considered the swelling in the stomach to be a tumor and also avoided taking the girl to the doctor. That dark day of 16th October also came, when there was a sudden delivery at home, and a newborn baby was born. It is being told that the child died after some time. This news spread like wildfire in the village and created panic in the family. As soon as the victim’s brother got wind of this, he reached Sarai Akil police station and lodged a complaint of rape against his cousin. The police immediately registered a case and started investigation.
Dead body of a newborn baby found floating in the pond
During the investigation, the police received information that the body of a newborn baby was floating in the village pond. The police team reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it for postmortem. Everyone was stunned when the post mortem report came, it confirmed the injury on the head of the newborn baby. Due to which it appears that he has been thrown to death.
The village watchman gave a complaint to the police and said that the victim’s mother and her brother were accused of carrying out this cruel incident. It was also told that in the name of saving honour, the life of a newborn baby was taken away. Based on the complaint of the watchman, the police have registered a case against the victim’s mother and brother in the police station and started investigation.
Uncle’s son had raped
DSP Chail Abhishek Singh said that a person living in Sarai Akil police station area informed the police station that he has a sister who is 19 years old. She was molested by her uncle’s son due to which she became pregnant. After this his sister gave birth to a baby. The child died just a few hours after birth. On receiving this information, a case was immediately registered in the police station under relevant sections.
Meanwhile, Sarai Akil received information that out of fear of public shame, the victim’s family members killed the newborn baby by throwing it in the trash which led to his death. On the basis of information received, the newborn baby was thrown into a pond, it was recovered and sent for post-mortem and after the post-mortem report came, a case was registered under relevant sections. The matter is being investigated thoroughly.
