Police has exposed a case of blind murder in Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh. The shocking thing is that the man’s murderer turned out to be none other than his own nephew. When the police arrested the accused nephew and interrogated him, he confessed to the entire conspiracy of murder.
The incident took place in Katra village of Karari police station area. 50 year old Chhote Lal Gupta, son of Chedi Lal, resident of Rakswara village, was the Kotedar of the village. On the day of Diwali, he had gone out early in the morning with his 26-year-old nephew Rahul Gupta, son of Babulal to visit Chitrakoot and light the lamp. As soon as both of them reached Sondhiya bridge, the accused attacked the uncle with a knife, due to which Chhote Lal died on the spot, while Rahul himself pretended to run away by faking an attack.
According to the police, on October 4, there was a dispute between the two over a tire breaking while driving a tractor in the field. Due to this rivalry, the nephew conspired to murder his uncle and took him out of the house on the pretext of visiting Chitrakoot on Diwali. On information, SP Rajesh Kumar, ASP Rajesh Singh, DSP Shivank Singh and forensic team reached the spot and started investigation. The team formed on the instructions of the SP arrested the accused nephew Rahul in about 6 hours.
DSP Sadar Shivank Singh said that during interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime and said that on October 4, there was a dispute with his uncle over the breaking of a maid in the field. Angered by that very thing, he planned the murder. The police have arrested the accused nephew and sent him to jail after investigation.
