The Diwali evening, which should have been full of celebrations, turned dreadful in Cuttack, Odisha. A horrific accident took place in Chaudwar area here in which two youths were badly injured. The accident occurred due to the sudden explosion of firecrackers kept in the trunk of the scooter. Its video is scary.
The incident took place on Monday night during the Diwali festival at around 8 pm in Aparna Nagar area of Chauliaganj, when two youths were carrying firecrackers on a scooter. According to reports, the firecrackers were kept in the trunk of the vehicle when suddenly they caught fire and a massive explosion occurred.
The explosion was so strong that the scooter immediately caught fire, causing serious burns to both the riders. Local people reached the spot and tried to extinguish the fire before the emergency services arrived. The injured were immediately taken to SCB Medical College and Hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. The scooter was completely burnt to ashes due to the explosion. The loud sound of the explosion spread panic in the surrounding area.
