Manju Asrani (formerly Bansal) was once a part of the film industry. He did a lot of work in the 70’s and 80’s. Asrani and Manju first met on the sets of the films ‘Aaj Ki Taza Khabar’ and ‘Namak Haram’. Both of them talked to each other and felt an immediate connection. The main reason for this was his love for cinema. Gradually they fell in love and got married. Both of them supported each other throughout their lives. Manju had worked in many Hindi movies, these include Kabila, Udhar Ka Sindoor, Tapasya, Chandi Sona, Chor Sipahi. After establishing her strength in acting, Manju decided to work behind the camera. He tried his luck in direction in 1990. He directed the 1995 film ‘Maa Ki Mamta’.
