An alert has been issued in Samastipur Railway Division after a fire broke out in the bogie of Garib Rath Express going from Amritsar to Saharsa near Sirhind station in Punjab. An awareness campaign is being run to ensure that no passenger carries explosive material, inflammable material, crackers etc. in the train during Diwali. The RPF team is warning people by making announcements at the station inside the train. If they are caught traveling with explosive material or inflammable firecrackers, they may have to go to jail.
Therefore, all the passengers have been asked to be alert about all these things in the train and not to travel in the train. If any passenger sees other passengers traveling with such material, then definitely inform the RPF or by calling 139.

The incident of fire in the Garib Rath Express coming from Amritsar to Saharsa has happened near Sirhind station, although the reason behind the fire has not been revealed, but as a precaution, in view of the Diwali festival, the Railways has intensified investigation at different stations including Samastipur station of Samastipur Railway Division. The luggage of every incoming passenger is being checked with metal detectors.
