It is said that purchasing valuable things on this day brings blessings of Lord Kuber. In the scriptures, Kuber has been described as the lord of wealth and the treasurer of heaven. Do you know that there is an ancient temple of Lord Kuber in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, where a large number of devotees come to worship on Dhanteras.

Therefore you can please God with some special things. Kuber Maharaj is very fond of yellow color. Therefore, you can offer them yellow fruits, sweets etc. Kuber is also pleased by buying gold, brass, broom or dry coriander and bringing it home on Dhanteras.
It is also good to install Kuber Yantra in the house on this day. Donating yellow things on the evening of Dhanteras is also very good. On this day you can donate gram pulses, yellow clothes, yellow fruits or sweets like laddus and banana, turmeric, yellow sandalwood, brass or bronze utensils etc.
