With the help of his associates, he blackmailed his brother-in-law and also looted the money by beating him. The victim’s brother-in-law lodged a complaint in this case at Gola Ka Mandir police station, after which the police took action and arrested two accused. Ravindra, living in Piper Seva area of Morena, was arrested by his cousin’s sister-in-law Omwati. Gwalior Had called. Omvati told Ravindra on call that she wants to introduce him to his friend Rukmani and make friendship between them. After this Ravindra reached Gwalior on Wednesday.
After reaching Gwalior, Omwati called her friend Rukmani. Both of them sent Ravindra to a house in Govardhan Colony. The atmosphere at home seemed normal. Rukmani and Ravindra were present in a room, when after some time the situation suddenly changed. When Ravindra and Rukmani were in the room, suddenly sister-in-law Omwati came into the room with her three friends Ankit, Kaushal and Aditya. Even before this, he had secretly installed a camera in the room and recorded the video of both of them.
After the video was made, Omwati threatened Ravindra that the video would be made viral if he did not give Rs 10 lakh. When Ravindra refused to give the money, the accused beat him up and snatched Rs 8,000 in cash from him.
The victim Ravindra somehow freed himself and went straight to Gola Ka Mandir police station, where he narrated the entire incident to the police. After the complaint of the victim, the police immediately took action and registered the case. During the investigation, the police found important evidence from the incident site, which also included mention of video recording. Police have registered a case of blackmailing, assault and robbery against the accused.
CSP Robin Jain said that the incident has come to light in Gola Ka Mandir police station area. A woman named Omvati made her brother-in-law Ravindra be friends with a woman, then sent both of them together to someone’s house, where they made a video of them. After this the blackmailing started. A demand of Rs 10 lakh was made by threatening to make the video viral. When the complainant refused to give the money, he was beaten and kicked and punched, resulting in injuries. Also recovered Rs 8000 from him. A case has been registered against five accused. Police have arrested two accused.
There are a total of five accused in this case – Omwati, her friend Rukmani and three youths Kaushal, Ankit and Aditya. Police have arrested two accused. The main accused Omwati and his two other associates are still absconding. Police are raiding possible locations. Police say that this incident was carried out as per planning. Police suspect that this gang may have been involved in such cases earlier also.
