Appeal to Trump to maintain America’s leadership in QUAD

This letter comes after an amendment that was added by Democratic Congresswoman Sidney Camlager-Dove to the ‘Department of State Policy Provisions Act’. In this amendment, Trump has been urged to maintain his leadership in the Quad and personally participate in the Quad Leaders Summit to be held later this year.

Lawmakers believe that Trump’s presence will strengthen America’s strategic influence in Asia and will send a message to allied countries that America is present in the region with a long-term commitment.
