This story is from Mumbai. Here three men and a woman together kidnapped a businessman from his car. Then he was taken to a flat, tied up and beaten. With this, about Rs 80 lakh was recovered. According to the agency, a car suddenly stops in front of the businessman. Three men and a woman get down from the car. Before he could understand anything, all four forcefully push him into the car. The car moves at high speed, direction is central. Mumbai Parel area of. For that person, this journey of a few minutes was the beginning of a nightmare.
After reaching a flat in Parel, all four attacked him. He was beaten and interrogated – regarding the old gold deal. Actually, it was all a fight over an old gold deal, which was being avenged by kidnapping and assault.
He was kept hostage in that flat for hours. His pockets, mobile and even UPI were searched. The accused snatched away 591 grams of gold, worth around Rs 76.23 lakh, from him. Apart from this, a check of Rs 2.99 lakh and UPI transfer of Rs 15,000 was also done.
After getting hold of the gold and cash, the accused released him. After this the businessman went straight to LT. Complaint lodged at Marg police station. The investigation started and the police soon solved the mystery of the case. The arrested accused include 35-year-old Tarak Maiti and 34-year-old Raghunath Maiti. Both of them are jewelers from Navi Mumbai. Apart from these, 45 year old Deepak Mahadik is a dog trainer living in Sivri.
35 year old Alka Mahadik is Deepak’s wife. Along with these, 30 year old Rahul Dive and 28 year old Sunil Gorai are also included. It may sound like the story of a film gang, but in reality this entire operation was based on greed for gold and an old case. All the accused have been sent to police custody till October 18. Other items including gold have also been recovered.
