Vehicle manufacturing companies seem to be becoming increasingly conscious about safety in the Indian automobile market. In this sequence, the country’s leading automobile manufacturer Tata Motors has launched Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) technology in its popular SUV Tata Nexon. This is the same technology that not only makes driving easier but also sets new standards of safety on the road.

ADAS variant price

Tata Motors has launched the petrol-automatic variant of Nexon with level-2 ADAS. The price of the new Nexon Fearless +S DCA variant has been kept at Rs 13.53 lakh (showroom price). Earlier the model was available for Rs 13.26 lakh. That means Rs 27,000 more will have to be paid for the new technology. The company has also introduced Red Dark Edition in this variant. The price of which has been fixed at Rs 13.81 lakh.

These features are included in ADAS

ADAS technology means not only giving warnings but also providing smart assistance. The Nexon now comes with features like forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning and lane keep assist. Along with this, advanced features like high beam headlight control and road sign recognition have also been provided. Which helps the driver to take better decisions according to the road conditions. These are the same features which were available only in expensive cars till a few years ago.

Red Dark Edition also launched

Tata Motors has also introduced a special Red Dark Edition of Nexon, which is available in all three engine options – petrol, diesel and CNG. The starting price of this edition has been kept at Rs 12.44 lakh (showroom price). The highlight of the Red Dark Edition is its completely new interior theme, in which glimpses of red color can be seen throughout the cabin. It has red ventilated leather seats, sunshades for the rear seats and a 26.03 cm advanced infotainment system made by Harman. This edition is not only more attractive in appearance but is also ahead of other variants in terms of features.

Red Dark Edition variants and price

The starting price of the petrol manual variant has been kept at Rs 12.44 lakh, while the petrol DCA (automatic) variant, which also includes ADAS technology, is available at Rs 13.81 lakh. Apart from this, the price of diesel manual variant has been kept at Rs 13.52 lakh, the price of diesel AMT variant has been kept at Rs 14.15 lakh and the price of CNG manual variant has been kept at Rs 13.36 lakh. Separately, the price of Nexon Fearless+ PS DCA ADAS variant has been fixed at Rs 13.53 lakh.

Tata Nexon is already one of India’s best-selling sports utility vehicles. Now that modern safety features like ADAS have been added to it. So this car will prove to be a reliable companion not only in cities but also on long journeys. In the month of September, the company has sold more than 22,000 units of this SUV, which makes it the best selling car in the country.

5-star safety rating

Let us tell you that Tata Nexon is the first car in the country which was given 5-star rating in crash test. Not only this, it is the only car in the country which comes with 5-star safety rating in both Global New Car Assessment Program (GNCAP) and Bharat New Car Assessment Program (BNCAP). Now that it has been equipped with ADAS, this car has become even safer.

Car became cheaper by Rs 1.55 lakh

After the new GST 2.0 structure implemented across the country from September 22, the price of this SUV has been reduced by a maximum of Rs 1.55 lakh. Its base model has become cheaper by Rs 68,100. Now its starting price has become Rs 7.32 lakh, which earlier used to be Rs 8.0 lakh. At the same time, the company has reduced the price of its Fearless Plus automatic variant the most by Rs 1.55 lakh. Now the price of this variant starts from Rs 14.05 lakh, which earlier used to be Rs 15.59 lakh.
