Before the first phase of elections in Bihar, Lalu’s party Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has suffered a big setback. Former MP and four-time MLA Sarfaraz Alam resigned from RJD and joined Jan Suraj Party. Sarfaraz is the son of late Seemanchal leader Taslimuddin, who was considered the voice of Seemanchal in RJD.
RJD still has ‘dal-chutney’ politics: RJD
Joining Jan Suraj, Sarfaraz Alam said, ‘I salute Jan Suraj, which is under the leadership of Prashant Kishore. Bihar Moving forward with a resolve to change. This platform will give me an opportunity to carry forward my father’s legacy. Expressing his displeasure with RJD, he said that ‘the same old ‘dal-chutney’ politics was going on there, in which there was no scope for change.’
He said that the issue of Seemanchal is not only about Muslims, but about the poverty, backwardness and decline in education of the entire region. He alleged that corruption has increased in Bihar in the last 30 years and the education system has completely weakened.

Jan Suraj chief Prashant Kishore (PK) said on Sarfaraz Alam’s involvement, ‘This is a new chapter in the politics of Seemanchal, now there will be politics of development and not politics of fear. Sarfaraz Alam will draw a long line of Jan Suraj in Seemanchal.
PK attacked AIMIM
PK also made an indirect attack on AIMIM and said, ‘Only the one who is connected to the soil here can understand the problems of Seemanchal, not anyone coming from Hyderabad.’
He further said that both the NDA and the Indian Alliance are engaged in a ‘seat selling race’, and people’s issues have disappeared. Also, targeting Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, he said that ‘he should tell in his election affidavit whether he has passed 10th or not, and what was his role in the 1995 murder case.’ Prashant Kishore announced that he will get a legal investigation done into the election affidavit of Samrat Chaudhary.
