It is more beneficial for BJP to not give ticket to Maithili, if this is possible for some reason. The ticket can be given to anyone else, any loyal BJP worker. Why does a worker work hard?
On the inclusion of Maithili Thakur in BJP and the fact that she would contest elections from Darbhanga or Madhubani, the workers protested fiercely at the party office in Patna. These workers are angry with the fact that for years they have been working hard to strengthen the party, but the big leaders of BJP have brought Maithili Thakur into power. The workers find this not only wrong but also unfair.

According to the media report, the workers protesting at the Patna BJP office said that neither Maithili Thakur has received any support from the society till now nor is she aware of the intricacies of politics. After all, on what basis is the party giving ticket to Maithili Thakur? The workers have also warned that if Maithili Thakur comes to contest the elections, all the workers will protest.
In May this year, during his visit to Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had raised the question, ‘Why does a worker work hard? Why shouldn’t he get the fruits of his hard work?’ While advising against nepotism in politics, Modi had clearly told the leaders gathered at the BJP office, ‘… there should not be Zamindari system.
