Another big upheaval has been seen in the politics of Bihar. JDU MLA Gopal Mandal, angry with the party, has announced to contest the elections as an independent. He said that his ticket has been cancelled, hence now he has no connection with Janata Dal United.

Gopal Mandal clearly said that he will contest the elections as an independent candidate and even after winning, he will consider Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as his leader. He alleged that some big leaders of the party did not like his frank speaking, that is why his ticket was canceled.

Mandal said, ‘I always speak the right thing, that is why some people did not like me. Despite cutting the ticket, I respect Nitish Kumar and will support him after winning the elections.

Three-four leaders got their tickets canceled
On Tuesday, Gopal Mandal sat on a dharna outside the residence of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna amid speculations about his ticket being cut. Gopal Mandal demonstrated outside the Chief Minister’s residence for four hours, but because of some big party leaders present there, he was not allowed to meet Nitish Kumar. Mandal alleged that three-four leaders close to the Chief Minister had got his ticket cut.

He had said, I have been outside the CM residence since 8.30 in the morning. The Chief Minister has been informed about my protest. I will not move from here until I get the ticket. Even if sticks are used, I will stay here.

Gopal Mandal had reached the CM residence with his supporters, where he said that he hoped that the party would give him the ticket again. He alleged that some leaders are conspiring against him, hence he wants to talk to Nitish Kumar directly.

However, after not being able to meet the CM, he sat on strike there. Mandal had clearly said that he is not angry with Nitish Kumar, but is dissatisfied with some senior leaders of the party. His supporters also heated up the atmosphere in his support by raising slogans on the spot.
